Orthodox Brussels Forum has been fortunate to hold several workshops meeting and discussion with stakeholders Belarus (formerly Byelorussia), engaged in the fight for freedom of conscience and ecclesial renewal.
On December 19, 2010, elections were held presidential in this country remains the last of our continent not be part of the Council of Europe. According
all international observers, the elections of December 2010 was largely forged by the authoritarian regime of Belarus. In
peaceful protests against electoral fraud have been held in the capital, Minsk. The powers that be suppressed with extreme violence, protests, putting under arrest, beating up and jailing of many political opponents of President A. Lukashenko.
Since then, little information has come to western Europe, about the Belarusian society subject to the last dictatorship in Europe.

Orthodox Forum in Brussels will host two speakers that reflect current issues in Belarus, one, Natallia Vasilevich, based in Minsk, the other based Brussels, Olga Stoujinskaïa, Head of Office for a democratic Belarus.
